I've used a few of these Old Timers. The design is perfect, holds a good edge, been making them for years. The only reason I've owned more than one is because I keep losing them (or they're getting stolen at the camp)...
Lake Lurleen State Park, about 10 miles north of Tuscaloosa, AL. We go tent camping there whenever LSU is playing at Bama. Beautiful campground and it's around 40-45 degrees at night for the first weekend or so in November. I think it's about 4.5 hours, probly a little far but keep it in mind...
I don't know if it's so much no suggestions but no options. Very few, if any, places where the general public can put a hook in the water in LP, and few of those are worth your time.
