Generally I'm not crazy about the look of stainless rifles or Laminates stocks. What' ironic is every stainless rifle with that color laminate has been at least great looking.

Are you talking new or did you locate a used one?

204Ruger's are supposed to be another fun one. They exceed 4000fps.

1 guy tells me the .17 will produce some nasty wounds. That is a .17 Remington though, which also hit over 4000fps.

I don't know how they compare on price, etc. Being centerfire, probably cost more.

What's cool about 17HMR is that the Parish laws up here say that you cannot shoot .22 and up in a subdivision (etc.). Well, lots of places are ok to shoot, but are technically subdivisions. You can still get a little trigger time in with the 17.

I tend to either get new or get hand me downs. I've even gotten new hand me downs. I've seen a lot of used guns that aren't much less than new.

Here is my Marlin 917V I paid $199 for it at Walmart the scope was a gift.

Grant it it cost me $300 more but it was worth it.

It's the Airforce Talon SS. It is a compressed air powered .22 pellet gun. Its only a single shot though.

Comes in .177, .20, or .22

marlin 917

I have two--a marlin 917V, bull barrel, and a savage, bull barrel. I am going to sell one--probably the Marlin, only because it has a wood stock, as the Savage has the composite. They're both tack drivers
