I've said this before but we're overdue for a bs.com dinner or other real world social event... It'd be nice to hang out again and hoist a few...

I got the part about uploading images, but what baffles me is why I can't see certain pictures when reading the forums. I figure it's just my headspace and timing issues, and that I haven't downloaded certain photo viewers. I use several computers to view Bayou Shooter, and haven't been able to keep track of what program is loaded on which computer. Perhaps a sticky with directions to freeware or shareware photo viewers might be helpful?

Any browser will be able to load any image that's linked properly. It's nothing to do with software, it's all done by your internet browser (IE/Chrome/Firefox/Opera/etc)

If an image shows as 'broken' it may be a few different reasons. The host of that image may have disabled "hotlinking" which is that it doesn't allow direct linking to the image unless on their page (not 100% sure how it works so my description may be wonky) or the image may be a broken link where the URL was typed wrong or the image has since been deleted. That's about all I can think of.

Where do you normally browse from? I know at work we have some filters on the internet that block certain domains, like porn and blogs, so if an image is linked off of, say, a Wordpress page, it won't show up for me. Just a thought.

I'd like to see an improvement in the "Classified" section. It's entirely too random as it is.

    Maybe broken into categories:

    Hunting Rifles- Deer rifles, etc.

Precision Rifles- Long range, heavy barreled, "sniper" rifles

Sporting Rifles- Modern Military pattern; AR, AK, FAL, etc.

C&R- Retro Military pattern; Garands, Mosin Nagants, M1 Carbines, etc.

Hunting Shotguns- Slug guns, Duck guns, etc.

Defense Shotguns- 18"-20" pumps and semi-auto not used for hunting

    Pistols- Semi-auto, Glock, S&W, etc.

    Revolvers- well, revolvers

Competition- 3gun, High Power, Silhouette, dedicated firearms etc.

I will go through and delete the village idiot posts above. Chill guys. This thread is about suggestions. If your suggestions will cause people to get their panties messed up, PM me.

    What he said. !!

Replying to 25 guys with the same question gets old .

why not just hit reply with quote on the PM, then type out an answer, the cut and paste the whole thing as a post to your thread in the classifieds? that's hoe it's done on eBay so the same question isn't asked twice.

    I agree with this
That rule will no longer be enforced.

Well, it seems like since the last time a big round of changes were made (over a year ago maybe, I really don't remember) it hasn't worked the same. It has been almost useless to me, and complicated at best, unless I'm just ignorant on how to use the new format.
Try it now. I edited it a few days ago and up'd the relavance options in it. If not, Google search works quite well, just use" site:bayoushooter.com TEXT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.

Just an FYI guys, the reported post and infraction log forum was not meant to be visible to the public. Sorry guys.
