    Considering the Article Title Alone;

    Steven Smith,
Ohio Man Who Sexually Assaulted 6-Month-Old Baby Girl To Death,

I think he should hang and voted as such.

The only reason 'Life in prison' is more expensive is b/c of Lawyers and Politicians.

If in cases of absolute, undeniable, DNA/Video Type, empirical evidence is provided,
(As is clearly the case here),

If in these types of cases, after the guilty verdict and the slam of the gavel, they take he/she out the nearest exit, tell them to kneel, and put a .22LR in their skull,

"Life in Prison" would NO LONGER be $Cheaper$

and justice would be served and a community protected.

You know, I take it back. I could actually see a scenario where I'd be in favor of life without parole.

....With a few small adjustments. :)

If he were to be locked away and not given any food or water until nature has the final say (that would qualify as "life", right?:)), I could go along with this. This would achieve the ultimate goal of removal much faster than the current appeals circus that affords these shitbags the luxury of mocking the families of the victims & the tax payers for 15 years- or more.

The disgusting, lowlife crybabies protesting the death penalty on Mr. Shitbag's behalf could then honestly be told they got exactly what they wanted- life in prison. Win-Win. :redfinger:

How about ANYONE be put to death when it applies. We are executing less monsters today than at anytime before.

If DNA technology is being used to exonerate those wrongly imprisoned in the past (a good thing), why the F**K isn't it being used to expedite the executions of those conclusively convicted by it.

    More horse ****.

I have a little girl. I can't believe the cops even found this POS alive when they got to him. Kill his ass before he gets a chance to do it again.

This animal should be put to death.

I was kidnapped and raped in '94 and it took 16 years to catch the animal. He is now in Angola for 6 life terms and although this is a comfort, that he is no longer on the streets attacking other women, I can't say that I wouldn't have liked for him to have gotten the death penalty. He is never going to change or feel remorse for what he did to MANY women in several states, so he is just a waste of space. I do have a little joy in knowing that he lives in a box 23 hours a day and is allowed to walk in a dog-run 1 hour a day, this will be all that he has for the next forty or so years. So, now you all know why I became a CC instructor, because if I would have had a gun back then, where he is now would not be an issue.

Only after I shove a pineapple up his backdoor sideways, that should be mandatory while he waits for his execution, in which he should be stoned to death.

Courts should start holding appeal hearing after one week of the trial conclusion. If no reversal, then shot to the head in the courtroom (i started to describe how this might take place but kinda scared myself for sounding a little crazy, so maybe just escort them off to the prison death penalty areas). Little taxpayer dollars wasted. Criminals would be super nervous about committing capital offences then.

WOW! Sorry to hear of your nightmare. Glad you found some inner peace.

Isn't it funny how people are willing to eradicate a fundamental Constitutional Right in the name of preventing gun violence with laws that will only constrain abiding citizens, but will stop short of doing anything about recitivism rates on rapists and child moslestors?

Anti-gun activism is about safety as molestation is about mutual consent!

Although you may be a little off of your rocker, you aren't that far off from what is possible. I'll go back to DNA evidence. The appeals process should no longer need to go on for 20 years if DNA conclusively convicts.

Although this is yet another despicable child rapist; I doubt serioulsy this scumbag gave the consequences of his horrors much thought.

My heart goes out to you.

Thankfully you survived and you're now attempting to have a Positive Influence on members of the surrounding community.

Can I share your story, considering there are no names involved?

Death is too quick and easy. He needs to suffer, and suffer really bad for a LONG time. Give him life with no parole with another rapistist who is bigger and stronger than him and this he's "pretty"

Come on guys, he was drunk. It's just like the drunk driver that kills and only gets 5 years. He didn't know what he was doing.
He was just in a house and not in a car.If he deserves the death penalty, all drunks who kill do.
If the drunk leaving the bar or party did not intend to kill anyone and did. Why should this be any different?
If being drunk is an excuse for any behavior isn't it an excuse for all? HE DIDN'T MEEN IT, HE WAS DRUNK!

fck formulas. too much wiggle room for an attorney.

sexual crimes against children should be death.
    murder- death.
    negligent homicide- death

the only problem with the death sentence is that it takes 20 years to flip the switch. In my world he'd be hung on the courthouse lawn five minutes after a guilty verdict.

It mainly has to do with the court proceedings. Google it if you'd like.

As much as I like to be sent on goose-chases by people claiming one thing on the internet, can you specify your source(s) to support that fact?

Depending on the sentencing, someone given life in prison can have ongoing court costs as well. Not saying you're wrong, but please show that you're right.
