http://www.rareammo.com/mfs-223-rem-55gr-fmj-20-rnds Zinc coated steel .223 7.95$ per box. 6.95$ if buying 500rds or more. I read good reviews on this ammo, but I haven't shot it before. Ordered 1000rds shipped to my door for 375$ Their warehouse is in Berwick Louisiana. I ordered early Thursday morning and Friday evening UPS delivered, so 1-1/2 day form order to delivery. I haven't heard of them before, but they will get my $ again... They are a little high on some items though.

Over the course of the past 3 weeks or so, I have bought 700 rds of Herters and PMC Bronze .223 at Cabela's for an average of $0.30 per rd (before taxes). Didn't know if yall considered those to be good prices. I do, but I'm new to the 223 arena.

Yeah, thats a very good price. .30 cents round is the lowest I've seen since way back. Pre-panic prices.

Cabelas had a ton of primers of almost every variety, large quantities of .223 in numerous brands. Have a few boxes of federal brass .223 500 for $160. Everything basically but .22 and not too much 9mm.

Academy lifted the limits on everything but 9mm & 22lr

There's a lot of .223/5.56 and a decent amount of .45acp at the Slidell location.

Wal Mart in Lafayette on Ambassador has had 9mm, 223, x39, 45ACP, 308, all the common stuff, for the most part, in good volumes. American Eagle, Tula, Winchester, Federal... Usually only 1-2 brands per caliber, but lots of the boxes of each brand. Been that way the last three times I was there. Didn't check prices but it's Wal Mart so I'm sure it's "standardized"
