I would like to ask respectfuly and in a humble manner for someone to address the intent of the mod. Let's please seperate the quality issue for now. I didn't see where the Op (twin) was advocating press check over the Inspection hole. IMHO the intent is a convenience factor. Let's not forget...
My bet is Mahogany with what likes from the pics red mag stain. If you posted a pic further away showing the coloring of the wood it would help. But pics are hard to judge by. Mahogany And Spanish Cedar look a lot alike. Spanish cedar is terrible about leaching oils out and curdling the finish...
Hey I can appreciate your thoughts on the name, and not to be an ass but with all due respect I got a "Real"Desert Eagle. Says so in BIG BIG letters on the slide. Lol ........I don't know what else to call it.
Mine is just chambered in 45 ala 1911. I was looking for a 1911 not a Desert Eagle...
We used to have a North American spotted leopard or big cat that was to believe to be hunted to extinction. Look it up not make believe. I heard stories of big cats in Livingston Parrish from family verbal history. I never seen one but why is so hard to believe that a few remain in small...
Thanks guys for the new comments,
My Desert Eagle magic wand is AWEEEESOMMMME!!!!
I finally made it out to shoot Friday, put another 50 rds plus of hard ball and no problems feeding. I ran a mag of hollow points with NO feed issues. I know 8 rds is not a bench mark but with price of ammo and...
That's funny
I love revolvers cause they go bang. But when shooting in a group when everyone else has semiautos I get tired of reloading. Thats is partly why i bought the 1911. Not that 8 is much better than 6 but with mulitiple mags its a little easier. I will say the 1911 for now will make...
Thanks for the info GM
The stove pipe was from Remington factory reloads that i purchased at the range, if I remember right, first 100rds. Then shot 50 rds of new hardball with no problems. 1 malfunction makes me suspect of the ammo and not the gun. I love the gun so far but only slinging lead...
Thanks Dave for the info. And I agree about not getting hung up on hollow point and aware that the gun was not designed
originally for hollow point.
That being said I'm just trying to gather first hand info on the gun. I'm one of those people that explore every angle ( safely and within reason...
Thanks Brad
for the tip on the Golden Sabre hollow points and I will not hold it against the gun if it ends not shooting hollow points. The gun shoots so nice it would be hard to leave it behind on a trip to the range. I saw one review where the guy said he thought gun was about to start making...
Thanks Dave
I understood as much with the hand cycling compared to just shooting the gun. It just made me want to ask if anyone has had problems with this specific gun and if so what the fix was so I might be able to work out any potential problems while at the range. While 1911s in general are...
