      I'm not thinking of barrel wear. Im thinking of how dirty the 22 ammo makes all of my guns i shoot it through.

      I just dont want the 22 ammo trashing my 223 upper. I'm not buying either right away, but my thinking is the upper would be better. $200 for a kit or $500 for an upper.

      First time hunting

      Ok guys, I just got back from my trip. It was a success. On the first day, with a borrowed .243 New England Arms Youth model rifle, I got my buck. It was a 10 point, 175 lb beauty. I got him Thursday, and I didn't see anything else all weekend. It was COLD and windy.

      I called the Alabama Department of Conservation, and they said I could get everything from walmart. I think the fee is $125 for a 3 day non-resident. I guess I'll find out about any reciprocal fees when I get there.
