So while ritten has my bolt installing a new bolt knob I broke down and ordered a bell and carlson light tactical stock. I have been thinking would it be worth it to skim bed the stock with the aluminium block or just bolt it in and go? Just hoping that it will get my groups a little farther...

So I been tossing around the idea of a new stock for my rem 700 ctrl so I can get rid of the cheap plastic feeling stock on it. It is shooting 3/4-1" groups with hsm match ammo now and 1-1 1/4 groups with hunting ammo. Question is how much would a choates or bell and Carlson medalist stock help...
