I second the beltman. I have one of his 1.5" horse hide belts I use. I have had it now for about 4 years. It is wonderful, no give or any sign of losing strength.
I am not sure if he is still making them, but Ferrera does a good belt as well. I have one of his 1" leather belts and have been...
I read on one new site that the old man went and got theater employees about the texting and that is when it escalated. Something was supposedly thrown at him and maybe a swing taken. Then he shot.
Welcome to the site. For a range you may want to consider joining Palo Alto in Donaldsonville. It takes me about 25 minutes from my house off hwy 73 to get to the range. It is a private club, and is never crowded unless you go on a Saturday when there is a match.
That is the Village Market. It is the corner of 73 and Southwood Village. I use to fuel up there all the time with my truck. I always saw a good 1-2 mpg per tank better compared to ethanol blend.
After 150K, I tighted up the ones on my blazer 4x4. It was a little stiffer, but otherwise I just gained back my lost ride height. I drove it for another 55k before trading it in.
Your brass cases will have a range of weight they will fall in. It is just like bullets. If you are trying to keep stuff the same, you probably should weigh out your brass and sort them. Additionally, each primer could have different weights as well.
As for figuring out powder drop weights...
For rifle loads, I start at the minimum and go up in .3 grain increments. I load 3 rounds at each level. Overall length is normally something I load to if there are magazine constrains. To start off, I typically work on something factory length. After I find a few good loads then I would do...
Cenla is still around, but last I checked they are looking for a new place to run. Participation is down and that is also hampering things. I know DELTA in NOLA still does events. You may want to check under them.
Only ammo I know of that has to be watched for a service rifle is 30-06. The M1 garand will bend rods if the pressure is too high, but that is not even a full auto gun.
I might have to give that a shot. I noticed mine would tarnish, but was just living with it for now. What method do you use to dry your brass after tumbling? My biggest issue is always blowing out the brass as water likes to sit in the primer hole.
