      fitness for police

Crossfit works great for just about anything. Its cardio and strenght. Not everyone likes it and its not for everyone. See if there is a gym near by and go by and try it out. Plenty of other Police Officers in my gym and they enjoy it as much as I do.

      Crossfit Gym

Almost all Crossfit gyms have a free Sat class. This will give you a chance to go by check out the gym and meet a few of the people. Always meet w and talk to as many of the trainers as you can. Just like everything out there there are some wackos. It was the best thing I did whn I started CF in 06.

      Crossfit Gym

+1 on Denham Springs Crossfit. Been there just over a year. Great people great trainers. The owner and some trainers are opening one in Central soon. Not sure of the time line.

      ccw for corrections officers

Depends of if you are a state CO or for the SO. Most SO corrections deputiese these days are certified to carry a firearm and go through the approiate POST training. Uneless the need araises (such as tranport) most state COs are not trained or "qualified" to carry.

A buddy of mine got pulled over after work today.

nope depends where you work. Some peeps take em to the DWI van and drop them off. Others thake them to the the machine. someone tests them (certified) writes thier report and YOU(I) book them for DWI. I WRITE the report with the supplemantal report from the tester.

A buddy of mine got pulled over after work today.

WRONG!!! I can write it I just have to have a cert person running the test. Dont have to be cert to write it, the CERT tester is just a supplemental report. Testifing to what the test results were.

A buddy of mine got pulled over after work today.

They don't call Livingston they call LSP (Louisiana State Police) Livingston does the same thing. Lots of LEO's can't write DWI's so they call LSP to see if they want a "package" WOW so police can not write DWIs ??

early a.m. hours are GREAT to catch DWIs. They sleep about 2 or 3 hrs and think they can drive home. It's prob better than 2 or 3 am when bars close.
