      It's not marked 27 on the yoke - it's not marked 27 anywhere. After some searching last night, the serial Number S117186 seems to be from a batch of post-war N-frames made in '54 or '55. Which is neat.

      It says .357 Magnum on the barrel. I can't get that to show well in a cell phone pic, but it is there, just to the left side of the rear sight.

      Ok, so googling the SN says the receiver is from 1903. So it's been rechambered to .357 and probably reblued, since the blueing looks so nice. Is there anyway to tell what it was originally chambered in?

      It's got a few little rust spots on the receiver and barrel, but it functions very well. I've got an 18" steel plate hung at about 70 yards out there and I missed it twice in 60 shots, no rest and I'm mediocre at best with long guns. I think I shot better with the lever gun than I did with my AR.

      All you 4x4 guys..

      I've got a 2010 F-150 XLT 4x4 that I just love. Mileage tanked when I put the leveling kit on it, with slightly larger tires - 33" terra grapplers. Went from 14/20 to 12/17. Sync is the best damn thing since sliced bread though. Best thing to come out of microsoft in ages.
