      Dehydrating Foods

Well I can't give feedback on everything centered around the main topic of the forum concerning weapons, but I can try like hell to add my two cents and help in other ways. ;) Since joining I've been dong searches with few hits on dehydrating food or condiments. Are there others here with...

      Dried Shrimp

I simply boil the shrimp and add my seasonings like I would do for any seafood I'd boil to eat like crabs or crawfish. Then for the next two days I just let the sun do its job drying them.

      Hello to All From Chauvin

Thanks, good to know on all accounts. Same here on knowledge of guns. I don't own any but don't have a problem shooting when given the opportunity. For now my weapon is my very trained German Shepherd. She is very loyal and stays by my side whether outside or in the house. Just her size is...

      Medical

I have the tests done regularly also. My mom had polyps removed and her dad died of colon cancer. So it's important to stay ahead of the ballgame knowing it runs in the family. Yea, I dread that nasty stuff we have to drink and of course the fasting which goes along with it, but it's all...

      Dried Shrimp

I don't hear much any more of people drying shrimp. Those little packets hanging around registers in stores cost an arm and a leg. Lately I've been drying shrimp just about every weekend, weather permitting of course. When I buy fishing bait I usually buy extra to bring home and boil and...

      I have an announcement

My first grandkids were twin boys. Double the pleasure, double the fun. Congrats on the great news, you'll spoil them more than your own kids.

Any tips on cooking a minipot of jambalaya?

I experimented cooking a small pot of rice on a grill in my fireplace. It was more like a trial and error thing. Finding the not so hot spot to let the rice finish cooking without burning was the problem for me. That's probably going to be your problem too. I ended up leaving a minute crack...

      Hello to All From Chauvin

Thanks to all for the great welcome. Yes we do a lot of fishing. Waiting for the reds to start moving in, just waiting for that first little cool front.
