      Dum Things Hunters Tell Me

My brother in law says that only a .338 Mag. and a 45-70 are about the only rifles to use on deer and told me a while back that a .243 goes so fast through a deer that it doesn't know it has been hit and then gets away.

      Beretta 92fs...favorite or forgotten

I have a 92 before the FS and I love it. It is more accurate at 25 yds than my Glock 19. In fact I have an extra 19 that I'm thinking about trading for a 92 FS

Mayor Daley lays out strict gun rules for Chicago

I left that State in 2004 just because the whole state was heading in that direction. And that was when Obama became a senator for the state.

Reminds me of China and Russia

From watching the video of the oakland incident the Police did not overreact. I rember the 1968 Riots in Chicago. That is when the Police used to just bash them in the head with their Riot Sticks and send them to the Hospital. That happened a lot back then with all the anti-war protest that was...

      Anyone using a muzzleloader ?

A muzzleloader is the only rifle I use for Deer hunting. Instead of using the modern muzzleloaders I strictly use Flintlock Rifles. I use a .54 cal. Smooth Rifle and A .50 cal. rifled Barreled. When I started shooting them in 1977 the modern ones didn't exist...

Muzzleloader Hi, I have seen some people asking about $250 for them. If they are older models with a wooden ramrod, Then I would ask between $300 and $350 for them. Digger

      .223 ammo

That's not to bad. It' about the going price these day's. I pick some up at the Covington Wal-Mart when they get it in. Last week they got in about 20 or more boxes and they were gone in less than a day.

      Beretta

I have a Beretta 92 and it is a fine gun. I also have Glocks and 1911's. I have noticed that my Beretta will shoot a tighter group than my Glocks. The Glocks also shoot very well.

      Blackpowder shooters

I've been shooting blackpowder guns since 1977. Once you start it is hard to stop. It also makes you a better shot with the modern firearms. Digger
