      Why not?

It seems like since the gun Mfg. Make a conversion for the AR to a .22 cal, Why not make a magazine that would fit in the .308 receiver that would convert it to a .223 / 5.56? Then you could use your .223 upper on the same lower as your .308 / 7.62. That would be a really versatile system I...

I have a Kramer paddle holster for a Taurus ultralite .44 special. Free to any one that can use it. I don't have the gun any more and hate to throw away good leather. Message me here. I am unavailable for the next couple of weeks, but will be home after the 27th. (Lafayette Area)

      Riots

OK All BS aside; what are the preferred tactics to settle riots, and stop looting of stores? Obviously you cant just gun down people in the streets.

      St Louis

It's not a race thing. It ticks me off to see any one, of any race, color, or creed looting, burning and rioting in the streets. In the case of blacks, it just gives the racist groups fuel to stir up more violence. It's a relativly few hot heads destroying a neighborhood. All the honest...

      Colt Defender

Just bought a Colt Defender. Looked at kimber, and Remington also but I liked the colt. I put about 100 rounds through it yesterday, some hardball, cast lead, Winchester hollow points and some berry's 185 grain hollow points. All fed and ejected perfectly. I love it so far:)

      Dave's Gun Shop in Lafayette

I went by Dave's Saturday and they were closed. Did they shut it down?

      Fort Hood shooters

I believe all on duty military personnel should be armed at all times. (At least a side arm) I don't think an army base should have to call the sheriff or any civilian agency to handle an active shooter. If they can't protect themselves, how are they ever going to protect us from any...

      XDM with Railmaster laser sight.

I was having a bit of a problem finding a holster for my XDM .45 3.8 with a railmaster laser sight. (CMR201) I tried several major manufacturers and always got the same "we don't make that" response. I somehow stumbled across the holster store on line. I read a lot of negative stuff, but I...

      Supplies

Ammo is gradually becoming available, Likewise bullets and primers. I got some .45 and .380 cast bullets from Midway with out a lot of trouble. I like Bayou Bullets, but according to their website they still aren't taking orders. Any body finding powder anywhere? I still have some...

      New Legislation

I sent a message to my congressman this morning urging some "Common Sense" legislation on the sale, and posession of pressure cookers. I propose an outright ban on "high capacity" pressure cookers. Laws against concealed carry of pressure cookers. Serious background checks on all sales of...

      Bare Shelves

I went to a few gun stores in different places this past weekend just to see how bad things were. I also looked on line for a few items to check availability. All the shelves are bare. The staff standing around. Nothing to do, nothing to sell. I am in good shape for a while on ammo and...

Man shoots himself on I 49 near Opelousas

I saw this on this mornings news. (26 Dec). They were somewhat schetchy on details. Evidently some one shot himself while driving down the interstate at Opelousas. The were not clear on weather it was intentional, or accidental. What sort of fire arm was used etc. I was curious as to...

      Shooting in Connecticut

I have no words to express my shock, grief, and hatred for the coward that would enter a school and shoot children. Our fearless leader promptly makes a statement implying a push for more gun control. I would not be surprised if the were not behind it somehow to promote his anti gun agenda.

      Accidental Shooting.

This morning on HLN I saw a story about a man who shot and killed is 7 year old son. His only excuse was "I didn't know it was loaded." He Has to live with that the rest of his life. I don't think I could if it were me. I know all of you serious shooters out there (like my self) always...

      Dillon 550

For a long time I have been using a lee single stage O frame press. I am shooting a lot more now and feel like I need to step up production a little. I have a line on a used Dillon 550. Who has used this machine, and what do you think about it? I will be using it mostly for .45 ACP and .380.

      Plated VS Jacketed bullets

What do you guys think about Plated VS Jacketed bullets for .45ACP? (for practice? competition? defense?) I use plated for Target practice with my .380. I get good accuracy from them.

      Amereican Press

I am currently working out of Cameron La, and we get the American Press Newspaper out of Lake Charles out here. I notice they list what they call "Pending Obituaries." I find this a little disturbing, but I check every day to see if I am listed. So far so good.:wtc:
