      Gun repair enthusiast

Old guns are like holding history in your hands. I just wish they could talk to tell me where they have been.

Vehicle stolen in Nola? Find it yourself!

Most of the time around here the only way a stolen car gets discovered is if some one does something stupid in from of an officer. Then they don't find out unless the driver runs or if the call in tells them the car is stolen. (the LE don't really look for them) If they find one parked somewhere...

Your budget AR is not "just as good"

Parts are parts! An AR is just a tool to preform a job. That job is to deliver a projectile on target without fail. And as long as the parts preform as intended the AR will do what it supposed to do, no matter what name is on the part or what price is paid for that part. The tolerance on...

For the other 80% builders in here

If you are good with your hands you can build your own tools for building AKs. Like this rivet tool made from a grade 8 bolt that can be bought for a few $$ from your local hardware store. I cut & ground it to shape with a $19 angle grinder.

Has anyone tried one of these polymer lowers?

The only part that is steel in the Plum Crazy lower is the bolt catch, the rest of it is composite material that is how it is a full pound less. I bought one of these lowers just to test and see how fast it falls apart. But to my surprise it looks to be a solid lower not bad at all it has...

      Some Questions about AR builds

It is so easy I wouldn't call it a build it is more of just an assembly. Here is the complete assembly video for the stripped AR15 lower. http://www.lifelibertyetc.com/Content/Video/LLE_AR15StrippedLower.wmv I did my 1st AR build in about 30 to 45 min. it was just that easy.

Is there a way to install a muzzle brake on an Un-threaded Barrel?

The best way is to thread the end of the barrel & use a screw on muzzle brake. Are you sure someone didn't make a mistake all of the ones I have seen are threaded 3/4-28TPI. The type of muzzle brake is an option that costs more, but if you choose no muzzle brake you would think they would thread...

      Mosin Nagant Rear Sight Removal

You should start with the shortest punch you can get by with. You just to get it to start moving; I used a small nail set punch. Then I used a longer brass punch I found at Harbor Freight If this is the scope mount you are going to use BE WARNED I could not get the screws to hold. After only...
