You may consider reading "To ride, shoot straight, and speak the truth" by Jeff Cooper. He outlines "the role of the five". Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle, Carbine, and sub-gun.
If you are a fan of the AR or AK, his views of such are not shared by all. Lots of good info in that book that can be...
That was her first time with a pistol. I was pretty nervous. She likes to shoot spent shotgun shells off the backstop with her cricket. I don't worry about the rifle too much. It's a lot harder to get that rifle barrel in a dangerous position. I wasn't sure she could hold it on her own. I...
I guess the only thing saving this guy is the difference in bullet diameter.
9x18 .365
9x19 .356
Firing out of battery still extremely dangerous!:eek3:
He'll remove himself from the gene pool eventually.
Well all the "experts" say any Taurus is not worthy. To understand this you must first define "expert".
"Ex"- Has been.
"Spert" A drip under pressure
Be careful about the light recoil spring. Too light, and the striker spring could pull the slide out of battery. If it fires out of battery, you will most likely be in search of a new Glock. If you must, be sure to compensate with the correct striker spring.

Great guy, Robet helped me start from scratch. Never loaded a round before in my life. He sold me everything I needed to get started. Still runnning my Lee setup...
Well here goes...
Not trying to step on any toes or bring about hard feelings. I have owned a few Taurus handguns over the years. The first was the PT92AF. Back in the 90's. I could not tell you the thousands of rounds that pistol shucked through it. That was the days of the notorious Black...
Seems like a matter of opinion from what I've read. Trigger pull being too heavy? Most of the Glock Kool-Aid drinkers tend to slap a scherer, lone wolf 3.5lb disconnector in their blaster. The 1911 crowd spend untold hundreds on trigger jobs parts and pieces. As for one "blowing up" in somebodys...
If Taurus is "known" for manufacturing such poor quality products, then possibly you have had personal experience. It may benefit a new shooter if they understood why Taurus firearms are such poor quality, specific to make or model. Or,as I understand it here, the general quality of ALL Taurus...
Snappy? Not much mention about how "snappy" the .357 Rem Mag is.
I agree, good read. Funny how ones personal carry choice seems to be a little more spit shined than the rest.
No firearm is "proven" until I have proven it. I am not the trusting type. If brand "x" claims their gun to hell and back, perfect, or lifetime, I intend to hold them to it.
I will not rely on any firearm until I have proven it. I don't fall into this or that because instructor "x" is seen on...
