      How about a FACT (2012): 80%+/- of ALL police contacted cases in the U.S. regarding dog attacks are reported to be full or part "Pit Bull". Considering that they only make up 6%+ of the dog population, anyone not considering not having these type animals around kids needs to take their head out...

      Yes it is. This model was discontinued around 2001 for the Classic Custom II. Most people believe this is a better and more desirable model than the II. Have one . . . great pistol.

      38 Super

      Of the three 1911s I own, my SA parkerized mil-spec 38 super is my favorite. Accurate, dependable and has a ramped barrel. Hard to find as Springfield stopped making them 5-6 years ago. Gunbroker.com has them occasionally. Corbon and Georgia Arms carry good self-defense ammo.
