      1911 problem...

      I took my 1911 apart to install a Wilson beavertail grip safety. I can't remove the damn thumb safety because I decocked the hammer before removing the mainspring housing. I think the spring may have moved because now the hammer will not stay cocked. Anyone know how I can remove the thumb safety...

      Removing melted plastic from barrel?

      Last time I went out to the range, my girlfriend was shooting my AR resting on one of those plastic Hornady triangular rests. Barrel got warm enough to melt some of the plastic onto the barrel. Anyone got a way to remove it without marring the finish of the barrel?
