No it is not against the law. One or two replies already pointed out the relevant ordinance. While it's one thing to do this by day, it's another to do it at night. This is nonsense. Properly equipped scooters, such as those made by Piaggio, are legal to operate on the road in Louisiana. I've had these show up in our motorcycle classes and they are street legal.- Turbodog

Lvl2 Blackhawk Serpa is what I use and recommend. Nolacops Safariland ALS has me intrigued tho..might look into that one sometime. Would have to get used to using a thumb to unlock vs index finger. -

Out of state FLA permit?
I don't have to give specific data on why I think it's about revenue. Problems with the state budget is in the news all the time. I never claimed that the state was trying to "get rich" on permit fees, my point is that Louisiana (and all states) are facing budget problems and looking for any way... -

Out of state FLA permit?
The real reason Louisiana isn't going to honor out of state permits, is because Louisiana wants to force you to pay for a Louisiana permit. They figure, if you're going to get a permit anyway, they want the money here, not in some other states coffers. Like everything else they force on us in... -
OWB for Glock 36
Blackhawk Serpa paddle is a good one if a "plastic" type holster works for you. Adjustable cant, good retention yet easy to draw from. They make one for the G36. -

Beyond the clip posted by Nola? No. I generally spend O dark 30 in the morning sleeping rather than watching TV. mb504 mentioned they do a wrong, right and best way to handle situations. Am I to assume what was in the clip was the "wrong way" example? I'm saying I hope their other ideas for... -

Yep, even MEM ain't quite that stupid. Look at all the OC video's on youtube. I haven't looked at every single one of them, but I didn't see a single OC'er touch their sidearm in a police encounter yet. I hope other episodes of Best Defense are not as unrealistic as this one. -

Where is the LSP finger printing?
When you turn up the drive to the LSP headquarters from Independence Blvd, the building you want is directly behind the troopers memorial. You'll see it that as you come up the drive. The fingerprinting counter is to the right after you go in the doors. -

Help with vehicle gun issues
I used to have an enclosed drawer mounted under the drivers side of my pickups seat. It was lockable and when not locked, I could reach down while seated, pushed a button on the front and the drawer would pop out wide open making it easy to just pick up my pistol. Hmm...well, there could be some truth in that as far as being an unintended political statement. I don't do it with the thought of "showing the flag" of the 2A, unless one considers the idea, that doing so perhaps helps to desensitize the public to the presence of firearms. But I carry concealed...
