Improvement Time Part Two---Update in post #160

I'm responding because I was asked to... Been through the exact same thing as kcinnick with a mod and it has left a very bad taste in my mouth for BS.com as a whole. As for a Free For All area, other forums have them and they work. As for classifieds, allowing comments in threads...

Indoctrinating Kids In Ascension Parish Schools (Revisited)

I don't see a lot here to get overly worked up about. But that doesn't mean to not be vigilant. The school systems are using textbooks and course material in different grade levels that are designed to lead the student in a certain (read liberal) direction on various issues. When my daughters...

Rant Threadj! Get it off your chest here

Here's a gripe. The way some of you will split a c*** hair trying to argue a silly and meaningless point. Now, the sad fact is that there ARE cops out there who do consider it disrespectful to pass their marked vehicles regardless of how fast or slow they are going. I had a trooper out of...

I would really like to know the other side of this story

There has to be a whole lot more to this story for cops to basically say goodbye to their careers and go this far over the line. If not, then this is what you get when you allow political correctness to lower your hiring standards to the point that you have to hire morons and thugs.

      Shooting 357 Sig in a G23..What U thinK?

The biggest issue I have seen with having both a .40 and a .357 barrel for the model 23 is that both rounds will fit in the .40 chamber. And I've seen the results of this. I say pick one or the other.

What's your favorite .40 caliber handgun?

Steyr S-40. Great gun, but I had to make my own holster for it.

      Details on LAX Shooting.

Yes it is true that many cops don't train often enough. As well as many of the members here. But I truly doubt many concealed permit holders would be carrying in an airport. Their weapons would be secured in their luggage. So I don't see what even a well trained person could have done in this...

If You Are On Your Neighborhood HOA, This Would Be Hard To Ignore.

Unless they witness you committing a crime on public property no. Now that was then, I don't know about now.

If You Are On Your Neighborhood HOA, This Would Be Hard To Ignore.

Many private security companies have as good or better training than local law enforcement. As for the lights, it's funny because my company used blue lights when I was there. Police used red/white exclusively.

Houston has had armed security services for decades. Some really good, some not so good. I worked armed security patrol in Houston when I lived there. I wonder if they fell out of favor for a time and are now "back by popular demand?"
