You're saying the slide locks back, is the slide lock slipping into place? It sounds like a slide lock spring needs replacing. You'll know because the lock lever will be loose and won't retain in the down position.
Also, I can't see how the magazine spring would keep the slide back.
I realize it's not really on topic, but Schlumberger always had a 40% stake in MI, they just weren't the operating partner in the JV until they acquired Smith in 2010.
La Carretta, Mi Padres (the one on Bluebonnet, not Prairieville) and Casa Maria are all better than most of the stuff previously mentioned in this thread. All 3 are on Bluebonnet in South Baton Rouge.
If you're going to be working on Essen, I'd recommend something on Perkins Rd. Oakleigh apartments are fairly nice and in your stated price range. There are a few others in the same general area, like those mentioned on Bluebonnet. I've lived in Baton Rouge all my life and South BR is the best...
I'm about as libertarian as one can get and remain sane, but I'm not buying it. I just read the whole bill, including Sec. 211 (e)(2):

But those are things which infringe upon that right, even if only to a degree. The amendment does not immediately negate them, but it certainly provides solid grounds for a challenge to those laws in court.
