Review of Bill's class and then some - BR residents, please read!

Welcome to the board. Glad to hear you came out fine in the end. Since my wife has gotten into the self defense frame of mine, it has saved her life on two occasions that I can think of in the last 4 years. Not to mention other potential situations that were avoided by changing her habits...

Now they're after our pocket knives.

Sadly idiotic. This past Sunday, I went to the Insectarium museum in New Orleans with my wife and 11 month old daughter, a friend, his wife, their son and their 12 month old daughter. Well I didn't know it but the museum is a federal building, so there was a metal detector at the entrance...

Awesome book I'm reading ( soon to be a movie)

Great book. I read it almost a year ago and still waiting for the movie to come. I was holding my daughter in my arms while she slept as I read the last pages. It honestly brought a tear to my eye.:wtc:

      Shooting at police ranges

It's all BS, but I stopped going to the TPSO range because the Range Nazi is strong with that place yet not strong enough at times. The guy was standing over my shoulder while I was shooting my 30-06 110 savage, reminding me to pick up my brass (Which was landing on the shooting...

Second Week Down... 50 to go

Don't let it set you back, but don't let this form a habit. It will be twice as hard if you do. Remember you are the boss of your body. You and no one else. Good to hear that is working for you. Keep us posted.:D

      Glock grip enhancements

For a weapon you may stake your life on, I don't recomend adding any glue-on, or slip over grips. I sanded/grinded off the finger grooves and stippled that grip with a soldering iron. If you put something between your side and the grip (ie and under-shirt) you'll never notice the difference...

Trying to change a pump grip on Mossberg Shotgun

If you can find a flat piece of metal that fit inside and can span across both notches, that would work. It will be a little tricky, but you could also take two flat blade screwdrivers and criss cross them inserting each blade into each notch and unscrew it that way.

Now that's powerful, though I think it's real message may be lost on a few.

      gunshot noise

1 mile away......... I can shoot a .22 in my back yard and my wife can't hear it in the house 600 feet away.:D The noise level will likely not bother anyone. As long as your shooting location is the proper didstance from any public roads and shooting in a safe direction, I say go for it.

      Do ranges....

This is how I feel. First off picking up your own brass wether to reload or just to clean up, is good practice. Second, I would never stay at a range that charges you to shoot there, but will not let you pick up others neglected brass. If they really want it, then they can post someone with a...

Mossberg 500c 20 gauge shotgun conversion

In my opinion, shortening the stock is the best route to take (Worked for me). The pistol grip looks cool but ultimate function always wins in my book. However if you're interested, I have a pistol grip I'll sell you for $12 plus shipping. I'd be sending it from Thibodaux.

      What's going on here...

Also if you notice in your OP and the two links I posted they all have the seat toward the rear. Once you find the sweet spot, you can make a permanate seat. Also in the two links I posted, those seats are sold at academy & wal-mart. They can be mounted at the right height with little effort.
