Welcome to the board.
Glad to hear you came out fine in the end.
Since my wife has gotten into the self defense frame of mine, it has saved her life on two occasions that I can think of in the last 4 years. Not to mention other potential situations that were avoided by changing her habits...
Sadly idiotic.
This past Sunday, I went to the Insectarium museum in New Orleans with my wife and 11 month old daughter, a friend, his wife, their son and their 12 month old daughter. Well I didn't know it but the museum is a federal building, so there was a metal detector at the entrance...
Great book. I read it almost a year ago and still waiting for the movie to come.
I was holding my daughter in my arms while she slept as I read the last pages. It honestly brought a tear to my eye.:wtc:

1 mile away.........
I can shoot a .22 in my back yard and my wife can't hear it in the house 600 feet away.:D
The noise level will likely not bother anyone. As long as your shooting location is the proper didstance from any public roads and shooting in a safe direction, I say go for it.
This is how I feel.
First off picking up your own brass wether to reload or just to clean up, is good practice.
Second, I would never stay at a range that charges you to shoot there, but will not let you pick up others neglected brass. If they really want it, then they can post someone with a...
